My third attempt at capturing our galactic neighbor. Stars removed.
The Andromeda Galaxy - M31
- The nearest neighbor to our home Milky Way Galaxy.
- About 2.5 million light years from earth.
- Contains an estimated 1 trillion stars compared to the Milky Way's 200-400 billion.
- Will most likely collide with and consume our galaxy in 3.75 billion years.
For those interested:
- Approximately 50 min of total capture time
- 100 object photos and 270 calibration photos.
- Tracked using a Sky-Watcher AZ-EQ5.
- Sony A7R4 + Rokinon 135mm F2
- Captured 10-18-2021 to 10-19-2021 11:00 PM - 2:00 AM EST
